Operational Considerations
Issues to consider when you use the FMW51BC1 or
FMW51BC2 battery charger are discussed as follows:
I
You can insert up to two battery packs at a time in the
battery charger. When charging two battery packs, you can
insert or remove either battery pack independently.
I
The battery charger only charges one battery pack at a
time. When two battery packs are inserted in the charger,
the battery pack installed first is charged first.
I
The battery charger will indicate a full charge level and
will not begin charging the battery pack if the battery pack
charge level is 90% or higher when the battery pack is
initially inserted in the charger. This prevents the battery
pack from being overcharged.
I
When you remove the battery pack from your pen tablet,
always insert a charged battery pack in the pen tablet to
replace the one that you removed, or apply DC power.
I
The FMW51BP1, FMW29BP1, FMW29BP2, FMW43BP2
and FPCBP48 battery packs use lithium ion battery cells
which have no “memory effect.” You do not need to com-
pletely discharge or “condition” the battery pack before
charging.
Battery Pack Charge Time
The approximate maximum amount of time needed to
charge a fully discharged battery pack to the 90% level is
shown in the following table. Note that when two battery
packs are installed in the charger, they are charged sequen-
tially (starting with the battery pack that is installed first).
